About USApplicants
Our ethos and approach
USApplicants was set up to address the lack of quality support and information available to those students thinking of applying to US universities. Our approach is highly bespoke: Programmes are devised based on the specific needs and wants of our students and their families. We are there to listen, advise, and help to achieve the best fit for each individual.
Whether you are looking just for exam tuition, or for mentoring support through the entire process, we maintain a very personal relationship with all our clients. Our small network of trusted mentors have all recently been through the system themselves, and very much come out smiling at the other end! We know the pitfalls, the stress of juggling A-levels/IBs and SATs, and the joy of finding the perfect college match. We care because we’ve done it ourselves, and have a passion to help other students do the same.
Who are our tutors?
USApplicants has a rigorous selection procedure. Tutors are all interviewed face-to-face by our directors, and are selected for appropriate experience, teaching talent, and approachable personality. We tap into networks of young, enthusiastic, and bright American recent graduates based in London. Many of our tutors have been teaching for years, yet they can still maintain sympathy for just how confusing and competitive the application process is, having completed it not too long ago themselves.
Beyond their own experience and methods, USApplicants tutors have access to a “best approaches” guideline for each subject. We don’t have one set curriculum; rather, by sharing what works for other students and tutors, we aim to provide support for all standards and personalities. We encourage our tutors to work as a team with each other and with USApplicants Headquarters, so you get the shared wisdom and tactics of more than just one expert.
