I have been tutoring SAT2-French students for the past 4 years, both SAT2 French and SAT 2 French with listening. I'm an expert in the test structure as well as content, and have extensive experience in teaching grammar, reading comprehension, listening, vocabulary etc. I am well used to the test questions and will give useful tips to students about strategising to succeed in the test, and revision techniques.

I have also been tutoring GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A2 students in French for the last 4 years, and students in the French curriculum at the The French Lycee in London.

I have experience in teaching pupils across all ages and nationalities (I recently taught Russian students, Chinese students, etc.).

Hello I'm Milena, I'm 26 years old and I'm French. I was born in Paris where I went to school until the age of 18. I received a French Baccalaureate with Honours in 2007.

I studied Environmental Policy at the London School of Economics from 2007 to 2010, and I have been living and working in London ever since.

Personal Approach

Tutoring many different students over the last few years has taught me that each student has a different way of learning, memorising and putting this knowledge into practice. I believe it is essential to adapt the content and pace of each lesson to each student and their progress. I always try to adapt my teaching style to the learning style of my students.

My personal approach is to keep a tutorial simple and structured. I discuss with the student and agree on a schedule for the lesson and spend a few minutes at the end of each lesson to review what has been learnt during the lesson. Along the course of the tuition I frequently review certain points that have been studied in previous lessons, to ensure the student is progressing steadily.

I consider myself patient and approachable, and will always ensure students understand, and feel they can ask questions if they don't. I am positive and particularly supportive towards students who may lack self-confidence, as I believe confidence is essential in succeeding in exams.

French is a difficult language to master, especially the way it is assessed in the SAT2 exam. There are trick questions in the test, and in general the French language is made of numerous exceptions in almost every rule. Provided we have more than one session I always take my students through a thorough grammar revision, we revise the basic as well as more complicated points with lots of practice exercises to ensure the student has understood all the rules.
