Aside from tutoring, I have worked in the Johns Hopkins University undergraduate admissions office. I also conduct admissions interviews for prospective students and give campus tours.
For the past three years, I have also worked towards a career in journalism and law. Most recently, I was an intern reporter for The New York Times.
Biography
Originally from Los Angeles, I am a third year undergraduate in the department of political science at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. For the past year, I have been studying government at the London School of Economics.
Personal Approach
Constant communication and a good relationship with my students are essential for success. Students should feel comfortable to ask me any and all questions on the subject matter and the college applications process. There are no silly questions!
The admissions essay is perhaps one of the most crucial elements of the application. Writing a successful essay is not always easy. My experience tells me that when a student and a tutor work together to craft an essay, it turns out much better than if he or she worked on it alone.
